(AP) — Houston coach Gary Kubiak collapsed leaving the field at halftime of the Texans' game Sunday night against Indianapolis and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Kubiak hunched over and dropped to his knees at the 24 yard line and was immediately surrounded by medical personnel. He was lifted off the field on a stretcher and taken by cart to the ambulance.

NBC reported on its game broadcast that defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said Kubiak was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

The team says the 52-year-old Kubiak was conscious and was with his family as he was taken to the hospital. Phillips took over as coach in the second half.

The Texans led the Colts 21-3.

Case Keenum threw three touchdown passes to Andre Johnson for Houston, the last a 5-yarder with 39 seconds left. The TD came after Keenum scrambled 22 yards for a first down.

In the first quarter Keenum, making his second career start, connected on a 62-yard scoring pass to Andre Johnson on the third play of the game, and added a 41-yarder with 4:21 left. It marked the first time since 2010 that Johnson caught two TD passes in a game.

Johnson finished the half with seven catches for 190 yards and the career-high three TDs.

Adam Vinatieri kicked a 30-yard field goal for the Colts with 3:33 to go in the half. In the first quarter, J.J. Watt blocked Vinatieri's attempt.

Randy Bullock missed a 49-yard field-goal attempt for the Texans.

Andrew Luck was sacked three times in the second quarter — twice on the Colts' first drive of the period __ as Indianapolis struggled offensively.

The Colts were playing their first game since losing star receiver Reggie Wayne for the season. Wayne tore his right ACL in an Oct. 20 win over Denver and had season-ending surgery.

Texans running back Arian Foster, who missed practice earlier in the week with a hamstring injury, left late in the quarter with a back injury and the team said he wouldn't return.
