PARIS -- Venus Williams bounced back from a poor start at the French Open on Sunday, beating 19-year-old Paula Ormaechea 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in her first Grand Slam match since revealing she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.

The seven-time major champion seemed taken aback by her opponent's early aggressive play, but still managed to turn the match her way and reach the second round.

The 31-year-old Williams, a former top-ranked player who is now No. 53, is 12-4 this season.

Williams pulled out of the U.S. Open last August before her second-round match, saying she had Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune disease that can cause fatigue and joint pain. She returned to the tour in March.

Shadow of the Colossus movie in development with Sony Pictures

Home ? Featured, News

Shadow of the Colossus is Comming to Europe 2 Shadow of the Colossus movie in development with Sony PicturesSony Pictures and Josh Trank, director of sleeper-hit Chronicle, have teamed up to make a live-action adaptation of the classic Shadow of the Colossus.

Writers are currently being interviewed to help create what will hopefully be a true-to-source video game movie.

Movies based on videogames have had quite a bad reputation amongst gamers but will Shadow of the Colossus break this trend and be universally liked?

For those of you who haven?t played the game or have even heard of it, the story is about a young man named Wander who sets out on a journey to slay 16 giant Colossi so that he is able revive a girl named Mono.

Josh Trank has claimed to have been a massive fan of the game when it saw a release back in 2005 and so sought out the job to direct the movie so hopefully the fate of it is in good hands!

There has been no word on casting, an expected release date or when filming may begin but Kevin Misher, producer of big hits The Interpreter and Public Enemies, has signed on to produce the movie.

Video: SpaceX makes private spacecraft history

>>> crew members aboard the international space station opened up their latest care package from earth today, but in this case, the box it came in was almost as exciting as what was in it. yesterday's successful docking to the space station marked the first commercial space delivery and a glimpse into the future. kristen dahlgren reports.

>> the expedition 31 crew getting their first look inside the spacecraft.

>> reporter: for the world below, it's a first look at what happens when a private commercial spacecraft links up with the international space station . the crew wore protective masks and goggles. since the final space shuttle flight last summer, nasa has been relying on russian spacecraft to get supplies to the space station until yesterday when the private spacecraft docked.

>> i think one of the top ten days days of space exploration .

>> reporter: the capsule is ornl about a size of a closet. but while dragon may be small, there are big plans for the capsule to some day carry not just cargo, but humans into or orbit.

>> there's not enough room to hold a barn dance , but there's plenty of room for the crews.

>> reporter: dragon was built by spacex. with a average age of its worker, just 30. the founder says his goal is to some day send people to mars and spacex has plenty of competition. but for now, it is the only company that can boast this.

>> taking a look around inside dragon. the first private company to dock here. a feat only four countries have achieved before. kristen dahlgren, nbc news, los angeles .

From Steve Hu's latest in NorCalPreps (a Rivals sub is required): "Isaiah Taylor 6-foot-2 PG The Village School (2013) Texas Pro: The former St. Mary's Berkeley product is now in the Lone Star state. He is bigger in stature and still plays with an aggressive nature in driving to the paint. Taylor states that he has offers from George Mason, Lehigh, Northeastern, and San Jose State. In addition to the move to Texas, Taylor also reclassified to the 2013 class. His size and quickness for a point guard makes him an attractive prospect."
